Homeschool 101

cute and frustrated small
I wanted to leave a space here, that will give people an idea of how we got started in homeschooling. Some practical tips and some resources to point you in the right direction should you ever decide to homeschool your own brood.

One of the things I have learned over the years, is that one of the best things you can do before you begin homeschooling, is to write out a big picture plan of what type of people you want your little ones to grow to be. If you have this done before you begin, it will help you wade through the massive amounts of information available to you online. You will be able to sort through methods and approaches based on who you and your family are, how you all work together and what your long term goals are.

I say this all the time. Don’t get overwhelmed. If you can read a recipe and a bake a cake, you can homeschool and do it well. Here are a few things that you may want to get started with.

* Our Homeschool Philosophy
* Our Family Rules
* How to get started in Math
* A guide to a Charlotte Mason education

Enjoy this process. Grace and Peace to you~
