A few things about me:
I am a wife and mother, daughter, sister, friend, dreamer, artist, worshiper, broken and being renewed.
I shoot with a Nikon D90.
I heart primes lenses and work with my 50mm 1.4 a ton.
I love to travel, and love to travel with my family even more.
My middle name is Leigh and I think it is a cool way to spell it.
I was born premature and weighed 1lb.11oz when I was born.
I married my best friend when I was 21 and a junior in college.
We met at the University of Florida and my heart will always be a Gator.
I didn’t find photography, it found me, and I thank God every day it did.
I love Thai food, but think I love sushi even more.
We have the three cutest kids in the world.
I am blessed to be able to homeschool them but most of the time they are schooling me.
I love to paint, and run and do pilates.
I could read until the cows come home, which is a long time because we have no cows.
I hate doing laundry and grocery shopping but someone has to do it.
I live by the sea and love scuba diving.
If you must know, the scars on my forehead are from when I got chickenpox and scratched the stuffing out of them when I was 11. When your mom says don’t scratch or you will get scars…SHE IS RIGHT! I’ve hated them until I was 20, forgot about them until I was 30 and now see them as character and kind of like them, so hows that for growing up?!
People say I am intense but I prefer passionate.
I will never forget the day I woke up and said, yeap, I am gonna follow Jesus…and I did and have ever since.
I am a serious DIY enthusiast. Have I told you the time My Mom and I retiled a shower?
I play the piano and guitar and hand drums. Some say I can carry a tune too.
When I retire, some people golf, I will finish my pilots license.
One day I want to go back to school and get my Doctorate in Spiritual Direction
My artful eye is God given.
Photography is a quieting thing for me. Everything else fades away, and I can just rest and be still even in the midst of some very busy and loud situations. It is a very beautiful thing.
